Working with Madhu’s for the second time and the Grove Hotel was nothing but a delight. The clients were quick decision makers, clear with what they want, and they challenged us with a quick deadline.
Turning an originally french restaurant in this listed building into a Colonial era Indian restaurant vibe was an interesting undertaking. We thoroughly enjoyed the design process and detailing each and every element which were manufactured in different parts of the world and brought in for installation in a very short period of time. Inspired by Lodhi Gardens in Delhi, we used soft colour palettes, textured wallpapers, murals and foliage to pay homage to Indian royal architecture & weaving it into the Grove Hotel’s fabric of royal heritage itself. The history of Queen Elizabeth II using this space to gaze at the gardens continues down to today’s exquisite clientele that will be enjoying the newly refurbished Madhu’s at the Grove.
